On the night of Wednesday January 22nd; a group of community agencies and volunteers from our community will be conducting a search for homeless individuals. The point of the count is to try to get resources to those who are experiencing homelessness, provide care packages, and get a count of those whom are not receiving emergency shelter in Sheboygan County. We team up volunteers (groups of 3 or 4 can also register), we provide training, a specific area in the city/county and the resources you would need should you find a homeless individual. The count will start at 11pm up to 2am; we also have an early morning shift from 4am-6am (on Thursday January 23rd). The training for the night count will be provided at 10pm before we go out at Lakeshore CAP office located at 621 S. 8th St. Sheboygan, WI (at the Sheboygan Chamber of Commerce Building). Training for the morning shift will be provided at 6pm on Monday January 20th at the Lakeshore CAP office located at 621 S. 8th St. Sheboygan, WI (at the Sheboygan Chamber of Commerce Building)
