Volunteer Inpatient Program (VIP) provide a significant service to patients newly admitted to the hospital. Focused primarily on patients 65 and older recently admitted to Aurora Medical Center Sheboygan County from the Emergency Room, VIPS help patients acclimate to their surroundings and ensure their basic needs are being met. Whether it be teaching the patient how to use the tv remote and call button, making sure the patients have their glasses and other necessities, or assisting the patient in communicating with family and caretakers, VIPS enhance a patient's experience by helping to take care of the "little things" that make such a big difference!
