August Activity Zucchini 500-make Zucchini race cars
All Activities will be set up near the Teal Farmers Market Information Tent (on 8th St. in Sheboygan across from Nikki’s Nex 2 New & it will be more visible at the Plymouth Market)unless otherwise indicated based on demand.
The goal is for the children to take lead in being creative and getting their hands dirty in the activity. Volunteers are there to assist, give encouragement and build confidence.
Volunteers should arrive 20 mins prior to the start time to help with set up and to get acclimated to the project.
Zelda- The Farmers Market Manager (will be wearing a teal t-shirt) will have all of the supplies, volunteers should bring their own chairs.

Volunteers:
- Parents/Guardian/adult representative, needs to complete the sign in sheet for each child. This helps us track how many children participated for future planning and reporting. It also gives us permission to use the children’s photos in our marketing.
- Assist children in picking out their race car (zucchini)
- Stick the wooden dowel in the front and rear of the Zucchini to ensure that the wheels touch the ground
- Assist and supervise children decorating their car
- Assist children in racing their cars down the ramp
Supplies Needed:
- Sign in Sheet
- Zucchini from vendors
- Race car wooden wheels and Dowels
- Stickers, jewels, pipe cleaners etc for decorations
- Duck Tape
- Wet clothes
- Boy Scout Derby Ramp (if available)
