Kohler-Andrae State Park will be participating in the state-wide Work*Play*Earth Day event. Volunteers are being sought to clear brush from roadways and campsites, clear sand from trails and parking lots and pick up litter. We will also have some people help clean our nature center and our handicapped accessible cabin. There will also be a couple groups working on moving a section of our cordwalk and continuing the installation of our rope fencing along the cordwalk.
Volunteers should wear work shoes/boots, long pants, gloves and bring shovels, rakes, post hole diggers, and wheelbarrows if they have them.
Individual and group efforts are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Participants are asked to meet at the indoor shelter in the north campground for group assignments. Noon refreshments will be provided.
Park admission is free for those volunteering.
