Volunteer: Costume Team

Dare to Dream Theatre is seeking individuals with sewing skills to assist with costume creation, care, and upkeep. Projects available for all skill levels.

Basic:

handsewing rips and tears replacing elastic and drawstrings  ironing laundering (can be a take home project) Cutting and tracing patterns pinning patterns using a sewing machine to create basic seams and hems spot cleaning

intermediate

Pinning pattern to fabric and cutting out using a sewing machine to assemble costumes  following instructions to create costumes (materials and patterns will be provided)

advanced

draping patterns designing costumes creating a costume from start to finish

Volunteer: Teaching Artist Assistant: Summer Camps 2023

Dare to Dream Theatre is seeking Teaching Artist Assistants to assist Lead Teaching Artist during Creative Play Dates and Drama Quest Programming. Training will be provided for teaching artists assistants. 

Creative Play Dates: interactive literacy based programming for youngsters age 18 months to 6 years old. Responsibilities include set up and tear down before and after each 45 minute session as well as helping youngsters with crafts and activities during the session. Experience working with toddlers required. 

Drama Quest: Immersive interactive cross curricular programming for students in grades k-4. Responsibilities include set up, tear down, clean up, and activity supervision as well as taking on a role in the story that the students build together through the 6-10 week session. Experience and willingness to take on a character required.
