Volunteer Opportunities From: Volunteer Center of Sheboygan County

We are hosting our very first Fun FAIRE at YMCA Camp Y-Koda. We will be offering a vendor fair, catch & release fishing, s'more roasting, a cake walk, games and activities. This outdoor event is fun for the whole family! 

Volunteers may be assigned to running games, a floater, taking photography, run activities, cashier or greeting guests.

Currently we are seeking 8-10 volunteer to help us with the event. Those who are interested in volunteering should contact Kaitlyn Emmons, kemmons@sheboygancountyymca.org or Gracie at gkolb@sheboygancountyymca.org. 

Camp Y-Koda is looking for a group of volunteers to help build a NEW gaga ball pit on our camp property. This will be located behind our Johnsonville Lodge. We will provide all the lumber, materials & supplies, and lunch. 

If you have never seen a gaga ball pit, this is an example of one that we are looking to build. Our goal is to have this finished before May 1st. Ideally we would like to work on the project the week of April 27th and can be flexible on dates. 

Rain date is Thursday, April 30, 2026. 

We are looking for a group to help paint and do indoor repairs to our main lodges, Johnsonville & Lohmann. All supplies & materials will be provided, along with lunch mid-day.

Join us for a family friendly "Scarecrow" and fall inspired festival at The Christopher Farm & Gardens. All proceeds from this event go toward Camp Y-Koda's mission. To run a successful and safe festival, we need your help! There are a number of tasks available.

All volunteers receive a complimentary ticket to use before or after their shift and will get exclusive information prior. 

The many ways you van be involved: 

All Volunteers must be age 18 or older. If teens are interested in volunteering, a parent needs to volunteer with them. All volunteers will need to complete the YMCA waiver form before starting their shift.

We are seeking a group of people or individual(s) to help out with projects at Camp Y-Koda to help monthly year round. If any corporate or business groups are interested in coming once or multiple times throughout the year, we can work with you!!! Camp is ALWAYS in need of lots of help when it comes to maintenance and property help. We have 80-acres of property. Daily or weekly projects will range from landscaping, painting, repairs, cleaning, etc.

**If you decide to work weekly or a TON throughout the course of the year, then you will be required to have a background check completed through the Department of Children and Families. We offer licensed child care year round and all individuals are required to have the check completed. 

Hello! Camp Y-Koda is looking for a volunteer with videography and photography experience to help us with capturing the BEST moments of summer camp. The videographer will help us create a new "commercial", end of year slide show and provide amazing photos of our campers to their parents! Camp Y-Koda is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and a branch of the Sheboygan County YMCA.

This year our Summer Camp program is June 8-August 28, 2026. Hours are typically 8:30am - 4:00pm and a Thursday parent program. We are looking for someone to stop by once or twice a week and parent programs to capture those moments!

**This position will require a background check fee of $50.00. Camp can cover the cost or if you would like to cover the fee as a donation to camp. All volunteer forms to complete before starting. Kaitlyn will send you the full details.

Our Summer Camp program is looking for a volunteer to come in weekly to help run our camp store on selected days of the week. This person would assist campers with purchases, ensure the store inventory is complete, handle cash transactions, organize merchandise, and assist primarily with store.

**This individual will be required to have a background check by the Wisconsin Department of Children & Families. The fee is $50 per check. Camp can certainly pay for it or if you wanted to help cover the fee a check can be made out to Camp Y-Koda. Camp Y-Koda is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
