Volunteer: JoinUs Hmong Cafe volunteersJoinUs Hmong Cafe is a program that offers a free meal every Thursday. The meal is made from scratch and is culturally sensitive to our Hmong community while providing a new and educational experience for the rest of our community. We are looking for more volunteers to help out once a week, every Thursday during the hours of 8-1PM. Please see below for positions available. JoinUs Hmong Cafe Volunteer Role and Responsibilities. Volunteer Coordinator Flexible hours at JUHC Find volunteers for JUHC (cooks, set up, clean up, shopper, head chef, etc.) Coordinate all volunteers weekly Keep track of volunteers hours Must attend JUHC committee meetings Report to JUHC Committee Members Volunteer Head Chef Hours 8 AM - 1230 PM Responsible for making a monthly menu and share with the committee to be approve (for budget purpose) Work with the volunteer shopper to get the fresh ingredients weekly Work with the volunteer coordinator to on how many volunteer cooks to expect. Keep a food inventory of non-perishable Facilitate the cooking weekly and assign task to each volunteer cooks Responsible for putting away all dishes and cooking utensils Report to the Volunteer Coordinator Volunteer Shopper Do not have to be at the JUHC weekly Work with the volunteer head chef weekly to shop for fresh ingredients Shop the night before Report to the Volunteer Coordinator Volunteer Cooks Hours 8 AM – 12:30 PM Work with volunteer coordinator on how many weeks and hours you can committee Volunteer head chef will coordinate the menu and assigned responsibility to each volunteer cooks Help prep food, cook food, refill food, washed dishes, put away dishes Report to the Volunteer Coordinator Volunteer Set Up Hours 9:30 AM – 10:15 AM (can be flexible and start at 8 AM ) Set up tables and chairs Report to the Volunteer Coordinator Volunteer Clean Up Hours 1 PM – 2 PM Put away tables and chairs Sweep and mop Report to the Volunteer Coordinator Volunteer Activity Coordinator & Outreach Flexible Hours at JUHC Put together a monthly schedule of community presenters Be the point of contact for community organizations who wants to come present Monitor Social Media Report to the Volunteer Coordinator Please reach out to sheboyganhmaa@gmail.com with any questions regarding the roles!
