Volunteer Opportunities From: Volunteer Center of Sheboygan County

Eating together is so valuable! Every Tuesday at 5 PM, Lighthouse Recovery Community Center hosts a family dinner for peers connected with LRCC. This family dinner often serves 15-20 people. We invite individuals or small groups (2-6 people max) to prepare a meal. Preparation may be done on-site or off. Serving and sharing in the meal are welcome, though optional. This is a wonderful way to get to know the peers and staff. The time commitment may range from 3 to 5 hours, depending on the meal. The on-site time commitment is much less if you decide to make the meal ahead and drop it off. Occasionally, there is the opportunity to prepare a "holiday meal" that we share on an alternate day.

There are MANY avenues to support recovery. Art is a popular one!

Art in Recovery is held on the first and third Friday of each month from 1:30-3:30 p.m. If you are an artisan willing to share/teach others the how-to, we invite you to select a Friday to join us at the center. Let us know if there are supplies, we need to provide, otherwise feel free to share what you have. Peers love to learn new ways to express themselves through the arts!
