GEN-T Tech Help at Generations Volunteer Opportunity

Are you someone who enjoys technology and helping others? Join GEN-T, our free tech support initiative at Generations, where we help community members navigate the ever-changing world of technology!

We are looking for volunteers (ages 15+) to assist with both group talks and one-on-one tech help sessions.

What You'll Be Doing:

Assisting community members with questions about their devices, such as smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, laptops, or desktops.
Helping with basic tasks like setting up apps, navigating the internet, connecting to Wi-Fi, and more.
Working alongside a paid program staff member who will provide support for more advanced or challenging questions.
Contribute your problem-solving skills to help those who may feel intimidated by technology.
No tech expertise required! If you know how to use a phone or laptop and are willing to learn, you're a perfect fit for this role. Most of the questions are simple for someone familiar with technology, and if you’re unsure, the staff member on-site will guide you.

Join us in making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with Parkinson’s disease through the Ping Pong Parkinson program! This initiative uses the game of ping pong as a therapeutic tool to help improve motor skills, coordination, and overall well-being for those living with Parkinson’s.

What We’re Looking For: We are seeking compassionate and enthusiastic volunteers who are passionate about supporting individuals with Parkinson’s disease. Volunteers will assist in facilitating ping pong sessions, providing encouragement, and creating a positive and inclusive environment for participants.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in setting up and managing ping pong sessions.Engage participants in games and activities.Offer support and encouragement to individuals of all skill levels.
