Are you a movie buff with a heart for community? Sheboygan Senior Community is looking for volunteers to host movie afternoons or evenings for our residents. If you love films and creating cozy, fun experiences, this is the role for you!

What you’ll do:

Choose and schedule movies (we love classics, comedies, and feel-good favorites!) Help with light room setup and starting the movie Possibly assist with movie snacks—popcorn, anyone?

Flexible scheduling—host once a week, once a month, or whenever works for you.

What we’re looking for:

Friendly volunteers who enjoy sharing entertainment and conversation Basic tech comfort (starting a DVD or streaming) Willingness to complete a background check and brief orientation

We’re looking for compassionate volunteers to visit once a week—on a schedule that works for you—and read letters, cards, and other correspondence to residents who would truly appreciate the company.

Do you enjoy painting nails and having great conversations? Sheboygan Senior Community is looking for friendly volunteers to help brighten our residents’ days with simple manicures—just filing and painting (supplies provided). It’s a small act that brings big smiles!

Our ladies—and a few gentlemen!—love having their nails done, but we can’t keep up with demand. That’s where you come in.

What to expect:

Start your Thursday with smiles and connection! Sheboygan Senior Community is looking for a dependable volunteer to help deliver mail to residents every Thursday morning. It’s a simple task that means so much—residents love receiving letters, cards, and packages, and your visit might be the highlight of their day.

When: Thursdays at 8:30 AM (about 1 hour). You’ll walk through the building, hand out mail, and share a few friendly words with each resident.

What we’re looking for:

Reliable and friendly volunteers who enjoy engaging with older adults Comfortable walking throughout a large building Clear communication skills Completion of a background check and brief orientation

This is a great opportunity for early risers who want to make a meaningful impact in just an hour a week.

Help Residents Get to Activities!

Love live music and meaningful moments? Sheboygan Senior Community is looking for cheerful volunteers to assist residents in getting to and from our many music programs. Most residents use wheelchairs, and your help getting them to and from the performance space makes all the difference.

Events typically happen on weekday mornings or afternoons, with occasional Tuesday evenings.  Along the way, you’ll have the chance to chat, share stories, and brighten someone’s day. During the performance, feel free to sit back and enjoy the music yourself!

Looking for a meaningful way to start your Thursday mornings? Join us at Sheboygan Senior Community as a volunteer escort for our weekly on-site church services. We’re seeking kind-hearted individuals to help push residents in wheelchairs to and from church services in our building.

When: Thursdays, 9:30–11:30 AM

Along the way, you’ll have the chance to connect with residents and share in a peaceful, uplifting part of their week.

What you’ll do:

Escort residents to the church service and back to their rooms Enjoy the service if you’d like Offer a friendly presence and a helping hand
