Volunteer: Volunteer FacilitatorsRainbow Kids provides peer support for families dealing with loss such as; the death of a loved one, divorce, separation, incarceration, abandonment, or deployment. We hold evening sites throughout Sheboygan County and also after-school programs. We are looking for individuals to facilitate groups of either children or adults. As a facilitator, you will work with groups of around 6-8 participants by providing activities, stories, and games pertaining to loss. During that time, you will encourage conversation between the group members that will begin to relate to each other and share their situations. Children and adults will learn that they are not alone and how to cope with their loss. For each program, our sessions are one hour long for 10-weeks. The time commitment for a program is about 18 hours including training and preparation for sessions. We are looking for volunteer facilitators for evening sites: 6:15-7:15pm and after school sites: 3:00-4:15pm.
