Be Part of the Magic at the Weill Center’s Day of Caring!

The Weill Center is gearing up for our most exciting season yet – and we’d love for you to be part of it! Before we welcome country star Hunter Hayes to our stage, we need a dedicated crew of 20 volunteers to help us bring our historic 1,150-seat venue to life.

As a nonprofit theater, our work wouldn’t be possible without the generous spirit of volunteers like you. This is your chance to roll up your sleeves and play an essential role in setting the stage for unforgettable performances all season long.

Here’s how you can make an impact:


STAGE – 4 people
TASK 1 Velcro strips (risers) – on stage (4 people 2 hours)
a. Oxidize the aluminum
b. Apply new velcrom
c. Material: deglosser, Velcro
TASK 2 Electrics & Battens (2 people, 1 hours)
d. Remark with tape measurer
e. DUST
f. Tools: tape measurer, feather duster
TASK 2 Cleaning (2 people, 1 hour)
g. Sweeping corners of theater
h. Mop & sweep the stage
i. Vacuum under lift
j. Materials: shop vacs
LOBBY – 8 PEOPLE
TASK 1
Painting (8 people for 3 hours)
k. Baseboards
i. Lobby and lobby balcony
l. Materials: paint, brushes (small)
Clean windows – 1 person, 2 hours, ladder
2) Change marquee
3) Ceiling tiles – paint and replace
HOSPITALITY – 4 people 4 people (2 for laundry and catering, 2 for stocking)
4) Laundry
a. Label and inventory linens (2 people)
5) Organize hangers / laundry room
a. Get rid of clips and wire hangers
b. Materials: “waredrobe” < empty one in concessions?
6) Organize catering area (under east)
7) Stocking bars for Hunter Hayes, bag ice?
