The project we are looking to tackle for this year's Day of Caring is turning the area around our pond into a native meadow. The work to make this happen will include:
- Pulling stakes and removing solarization tarping
- Raking
- Possible volunteer use of a tiller
- Seeding prepared land
- Use of hand & garde tools
Volunteers will need to wear closed toe shoes, are encouraged to wear long pants, a hat & sunscreen. If you have work gloves, please bring them along. The area by the pond gets full sun, we plan on having a few pop-up tents up for shade and to house our hydration and snack station.
