Maywood - Ellwood H. May Environmental Park

Maywood’s mission is fostering environmental stewardship through educational and outdoor experiences designed to connect our community with the natural world.  We offer volunteer opportunities, school programs, family and adult programming, workshops, tours, summer camps, and other environmental learning opportunities.  The Ecology Center features displays and an observation beehive.

Maywood is a 135 acre city park on the north side of Sheboygan with an emphasis on environmental education.  The park features an ecology center and store, arboretum, hummingbird garden, prairie, maple and pine forests, ponds, and wetlands along the Pigeon River corridor.  We offer hiking, snowshoe, and cross country ski trails.  Maywood is a birding hotspot.
