Who We Are

Project Angel Hugs is an organization dedicated to nurturing a passion for service in the hearts of our youth, while ministering to the emotional needs of children with cancer, and their families.

We send cards, crafts and gifts in the mail to enrolled children. We utilize healthy, local youth in much of our work. Teaching these kids how to volunteer in a fun and interactive way. Project Angel Hugs was founded in 1999 while Vanessa Jensema was undergoing chemotherapy. It continues on in loving memory of Vanessa, who passed away after her courageous battle with leukemia. Her spirit of giving and living life fully still enriches Project Angel Hugs today. We hold service activities for school groups, 4-H groups, church groups, scout troops and individuals for community service projects. These groups range from grade school age to adults. Project Angel Hugs ministers to 500 children across the US.

What We Do

An organization dedicated to nurturing a passion for service in the hearts of our youth while ministering to the emotional needs of children touched by cancer and their families. We send holiday and birthday boxes, along with monthly happy mail, to the children in our program. Our program is free to participating families.
PAH relies on the generosity of local individuals and businesses to help us obtain the items and monetary support needed to achieve our goal of lifting the children and their families up, carrying them through many dark hours of treatment.
