Love social media, storytelling, creativity, and dogs? Dogs2DogTags is looking for one or more creative volunteers to help us share our mission and the stories of the veterans and dogs we serve.
This volunteer opportunity can be filled by one person or shared by two or three volunteers working together, with responsibilities divided based on individual interests and strengths. Whether you enjoy writing, photography and video, creating graphics, planning content, or scheduling posts, there may be a place for you on our social media team.
Working in collaboration with our Executive Director and training team, volunteers will help create and maintain a social media content calendar and ensure one to two posts each week across our social media platforms.
Volunteers will receive initial onboarding to learn about the Dogs2DogTags mission, programs, branding, and messaging. Once the content calendar and scheduling process are established, the goal is to work ahead with our team so content can be planned, created, and scheduled in advance.
Depending on your interests and experience, you may help with: -Developing and maintaining our social media content calendar; -Writing and editing social media posts; -Creating simple graphics and visual content; -Gathering photos, videos, stories, and updates from our training team; -Scheduling approved posts across our social media platforms; -Brainstorming new and creative ways to tell the Dogs2DogTags story; and -Helping maintain a consistent voice, message, and look across our social media
And yes, this will be fun! You might be sharing a dog learning a new skill one week, celebrating a veteran and dog milestone the next, or capturing behind-the-scenes moments, community events, volunteers, and plenty of play and silly dog moments that are just too good not to share.
We’re looking for people who enjoy being creative, bringing new ideas to the table, and working as part of a team. Experience with social media, marketing, communications, writing, photography, video, or graphic design is helpful, but you don’t need to do it all. Bring the skills you enjoy using, have some fun, and help us share the stories of the veterans and dogs at the heart of Dogs2DogTags.
