The Fulfillment Service Associate supports Disaster Cycle Services Logistics on a Disaster Relief Operation (DRO). This position supports congregate shelter sites by resourcing and delivering materials during daily site visits throughout the disaster operation.  This position supports the mission of the American Red Cross by fulfilling requests from the shelter activity to support the needs of clients in alignment with the Service Delivery Plan.

  • Resource and deliver material supply requests from congregate shelter sites 
  • Develop strong relationships with shelters and deliver customer-centric solutions
  • Inventory, organize and load supplies into delivery vehicles 
  • Provide feedback to supervisor on unmet or evolving shelter needs 
  • Help shelter sites monitor inventory levels and project future material requests 
  • Drive larger vehicles to deliver materials to shelters (e.g., 16’ box trucks, cargo vans, etc.)

  • Participate in all required meetings and review and complete daily tasks and reports

  • Efficiently handle time sensitive issues that may arise in area of responsibility  
  • Report the status of assigned responsibilities and tasks as directed  
  • Work independently while following the direction of the direct supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Ability to interact with shelters in a compassionate manner and with a customer-centric focus  
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Comfortable driving larger vehicles (e.g., 16’ box truck, cargo van, etc.)  
  • Familiarity with the proper moving, lifting and storing of material
