July Activity Paint Stepping Stones
All Activities will be set up near the Teal Farmers Market Information Tent (on 8th St. in Sheboygan across from Nikki’s Nex 2 New & it will be more visible at the Plymouth Market)unless otherwise indicated based on demand.
The goal is for the children to take lead in being creative and getting their hands dirty in the activity. Volunteers are there to assist, give encouragement and build confidence.
Volunteers should arrive 20 mins prior to the start time to help with set up and to get acclimated to the project.
Zelda- The Farmers Market Manager (will be wearing a teal t-shirt) will have all of the supplies, volunteers should bring their own chairs.

Volunteers:
- Parents/Guardian/adult representative, needs to complete the sign in sheet for each child. This helps us track how many children participated for future planning and reporting. It also gives us permission to use the children’s photos in our marketing.
- Assist children/parents in putting on a smock or large t-shirt to protect clothes
- Assist children in picking out the stepping stone that they would like to paint, using a sharpie to add the child’s name/date on the back of the stepping stone in case a family will want to shop around at the market while the stepping stone dries
- Assist children in picking out paint colors and applying small amounts of paint to a tray or plate to help conserve paint
- Ensure paint brushes are getting properly cleaned between uses
- Helping children wash/wipe of their hands after they are done with their project.
Supplies Needed:
- Sign in Sheet
- Stepping stones: pre-made by The Gathering Place Participants
- Paint
- Trays or plates for paint
- Cups for Water
- Paint Brushes
- Extra water to clean brushes in between uses
- Large t-shirts or smocks for kids to wear to protect clothes
- Table & Table Cloth (tape to tape down the table cloth)
- Wet clothes
