Dare to Dream Theatre is seeking individuals with sewing skills to assist with costume creation, care, and upkeep. Projects available for all skill levels.
Basic:
- handsewing rips and tears
- replacing elastic and drawstrings
- ironing
- laundering (can be a take home project)
- Cutting and tracing patterns
- pinning patterns
- using a sewing machine to create basic seams and hems
- spot cleaning
intermediate
- Pinning pattern to fabric and cutting out
- using a sewing machine to assemble costumes
- following instructions to create costumes (materials and patterns will be provided)
advanced
- draping patterns
- designing costumes
- creating a costume from start to finish
