Greet visitors, manage gift shop sales, answer the phone, and interact with Museum guests. Volunteers are welcome to bring a book, craft or other materials for slow times, and we often have small projects available to work on (assemble kits, stuff envelopes, etc.).
We provide training to operate the Point of Sale system (iPad based) and information about the organization and current exhibits. There is also a manual for reference. A staff member is always available to assist.
Volunteer shifts are available daily, Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. We also have openings during special events. To learn more about this opportunity, please contact Sheboygan County Museum's volunteer coordinator at (920) 458-1103 ext. 7105 or erin.brehmer@sheboygancounty.com.
All volunteers will be required to fill out a volunteer form and agree to a background check.
