Share comfort and bring joy through the healing power of pets. Aurora Hospice is seeking certified pet therapy volunteers to provide companionship and emotional support to hospice patients and families.
Responsibilities:
- Adults with a certified therapy pet (dog most common)
- Pets who are gentle, well‑behaved, and enjoy human interaction
- Visit hospice patients in homes, facilities, or inpatient units
- Provide emotional comfort through calm, supportive interactions
Must be 18 years of age, complete a Background Check, health history and online training. Dog must be therapy or comfort certified through an accredited organization.
