UNITED WAY HYPE SQUAD

United Way is looking for enthusiastic volunteers who aren't afraid of speaking to groups of 5 to 50 people and fostering excitement about giving back! 

Squad members serve as a United Way liaison for the annual Campaign Kickoff and Day of Caring. This includes helping nonprofit sites kickstart each Day of Caring project, tie the project back to collective giving, thank volunteers for their time, and fill in any gaps during the day to help make the best experience possible for all. 

Each squad member will be assigned one to two Day of Caring project sites to transport breakfast/snacks, beverages and help welcome volunteers. 

Squad shift options include: (a) morning (around 7a to 9a), (b) afternoon (around noon - 1:30p), and (c) other volunteer supports throughout the day.

Volunteers must attend the pre-event training in August, be willing to provide transportation during the day, be able to lift food and beverages, take a picture of (and/or with) the group of volunteers, and communicate with Untied Way on the day of the event if additional support for the project site is needed.
