Day of Caring Painting

The Bay-Lakes Council, Scouting America is looking to host 50+ volunteers at Camp Rokilio, our Cub Scout Camp in rural Kiel, WI, for a volunteer service project.

We have several important projects planned to help prepare camp facilities and maintain our property.

A major portion of the day will focus on painting and painting preparation work on our Dining Hall. Volunteers will assist with cleaning interior walls, wire brushing chipped and peeling paint from exterior walls, and applying fresh paint to designated areas of the building. No painting experience is required, although volunteers with painting experience are encouraged to participate.

In addition to the painting project, volunteers will assist with general camp cleanup efforts, including gathering brush, removing debris, and helping improve the overall appearance of camp grounds.

We recommend volunteers wear clothes suitable for painting and outdoor work. If available, volunteers are encouraged to bring work gloves, wire brushes, paint scrapers, and other basic painting tools.

Lunch, snacks, and water will be provided.

Camp Rokilio is located in Kiel, Wisconsin, and this project is a great opportunity to support Scouting while helping prepare our facilities for future campers and programs.
