We have many music programs here at SSC. We are always in need of volunteers to help push wheelchairs to and from the location that is hosting the live music act. Some of these events occur on Tuesday evenings, most are during a weekday morning or afternoon. It's a great time to spend a few minutes with a resident, getting to know them and their life story. During the program you can sit enjoy the music yourself before returning residents to their rooms.
We look for joyful volunteers that enjoy spending time with the elderly population. Clear communication skills a must. This is a large building so walking will be a must!
A background check and brief orientation are required for this position.
